Anna Isabella Crump, GW #79 

Annie was born in Allegheny County, Pa. on 28 August 1888 to George and Violetta (Jewell) Crump.  In 1900 the family is in Elizabeth Twp, Alleghany County, Pa.  Annie is listed as a missionary, along with her sister Rosa and brother Harry.  By 1910 Annie joined the Gospel Worker Society and is living in Cleveland, Ohio with the other Gospel Workers.  Her sister Rosa is also listed.  By 1920, Annie is no longer with the Gospel Workers.  She never married but continued to do linotype machine operator work for various printing companies.  In 1920 she lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Frank Adams in Detroit, Michigan.  In 1930 and 1940 she is listed in the Federal census in Chicago, Illinois, living by herself.  As a matter of interest, she had completed eight years of schooling.  At some point, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where her sister Elizabeth was living.  She died there on 9 September 1959 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery of that city.
