Clara Minora Fetterolf, GW #41
Clara was born 2 August 1873 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania to Josiah and Mary “Polly” (Mervine) Fetterolf. She was baptized on 17 June 1875 at Christ’s United Lutheran Church in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Sadly, when Clara was only four years old her father died. {Her siblings: Oscar b. 1865 in Gordon, Pa; John O. born 1867, died 1975 buried in Grandview cemetery in Allentown PA; Henry F born 1869, married Ella, died in Allegheny county, buried in Homestead Cemetery, Allegheny, Pa; Ida Nora, born 12 August 1875 in Gordon PA, married 1903 to Ezra Yeager, lived in Mt Carmel, Ida died July 30, 1954, buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt Carmel; Albert, died March 1947 in Shamokin, buried in Citizen’s Cemetery in Lavelle PA, two sisters survive him. Maybe other siblings.} By 1900 Clara is a Gospel Worker in Lock Haven City, in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, working alongside Rebecca Kuntz and Lillian Musselman. She is listed in the Williamsport, Pa. city directory in 1902. After that she “disappears.” More research is needed. A trip to Williamsport’s historical society to check the city directories might be helpful. Also, it might help to check the Lycoming County death records 1902-1905. Clara is not the Clara Fetterolf that married Rudy Ensminger. Neither is she the Clara M. Fetterolf that married LeGrand Payne.
