Before 1950 her parents had divorced, both remarried, and Dorothy left the Gospel Workers. She is living with her father and step-mother in Centre County, Pa. and is their housekeeper. On 19 November 1952 Dorothy married farmer Joseph H. Peter of Beech Creek, Pa. They enjoyed 37 years of married life by the time of Joseph’s death in 1989. Dorothy died on 7 June 2001 and is buried next to her husband in the cemetery of Blanchard Church of Christ in Blanchard, Pa.
