Elizabeth “Lizzie” Christman, GW #3 

Lizzie was born on 16 January 1863 to Jonas and Emaline (Miller) of New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  In her personal testimony, Lizzie shares that she was converted at Schwenksville Evangelical Church.  Lizzie was licensed in 1893 as a quarterly conference evangelist by the Pennsylvania Conference of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church.  She entered the Gospel Worker Society on the ground floor.  In 1900, she was in Williamsport, assisting in the work there.  She was living with the W. B. Musselman family at 650 Franklin Street along with Susan H. Keen, Amanda S. Schaeffer, Margaret J. DeRemer, and Hattie B. Musselman.  In 1907, W. B. Musselman moved the printing part of the Gospel Worker Society to Cleveland, Ohio, but Lizzie stayed on in Williamsport to continue the work of evangelism there.  In 1920 she made her home with fellow Gospel Worker Sarah K. Kuntz.  The last time Lizzie is listed in the Williamsport city directory is 1922.  Lizzie died on 19 May 1951 and is buried with the Gospel Workers in Cleveland, Ohio.
