Lillian F. Sipe, GW #69

Lillian was born 30 June 1883 in York, Pennsylvania.  The name of her parents are yet undiscovered.  Lillian entered the Gospel Worker Society in 1907 when the Gospel Workers were in York, Pa.  She has done city missions work in various cities, distributing the “Gospel Herald,” served her coworkers as a nurse, and ended up assisting the Office of Editor of the Sunday School Quarterly.  In 1910 and 1920, Lillian is doing city mission work in Altoona, Pa with three other Gospel Workers.  In the 1928 and 1937 city directories for Cleveland, Ohio, Lillie is listed as living in Cleveland, as a missionary with the Gospel Worker Society.  The address listed is not the same as where the bulk of the group is living.  In 1940, Lillian is in Youngstown, Ohio with two other Gospel Workers.  It appears Lillian preferred city missions to the printing industry for quite a few years.  Lillian died 31 March 1961 and is buried in the Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
