Louisa Ransom, GW #85 

Louisa was born on 13 May 1885 to Felix and Anna (Dawson) Ransom.  The Ransoms immigrated from England in 1881 with their son John.  Nine other children were born to them including Louisa.  The 1920 census is the only place where it is shown that Louisa was a Gospel Worker, living in Cleveland with the other Gospel Workers.  On 6 March 1928 Louisa married Abram Franklin Kauffmann in Harrisburg, Pa. where they made their home.  How they met is a story yet undiscovered.  Sadly, they were married a little less than five years when Franklin died.  He is buried in Centerville United Brethren in Christ cemetery in Lancaster, Pa.  It appears they did not have any children.  By 1940 Louisa moved back home with her widowed mother in Pittsburgh, with two of her brothers living on either side of them with their families.  Louisa died in May 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Her burial place is not yet discovered.
