Louise L. Rofer, GW #166
Louise was born on 17 April 1909 in Jersey City to immigrants from Germany August and Marie (Giesentter). The Gospel Herald Society mission in Jersey City must have been her introduction to the Gospel Worker Society. By 1930 Louise was in Cleveland with the Gospel Worker Society. She is found there in the census in 1940 and 1950. In 1940 she reports the years of her formal education to include two years of high school. In 1950 her occupation is listed as telephone operator at a printing plant. It appears Louise did not stay with the Gospel Workers but remained in the area. She died in November of 1975 and is buried in the Brooklyn Heights cemetery which is where the Gospel Workers are buried but she is in a different section (Roselawn) and does not have the Gospel Worker Society logo on her marker.
