Lulu G. Schwenk, GW #66

Lulu was born on 13 November 1885 in Pennsylvania to Christian and Catharine Hitner Schwenk.  By 1900, her father had passed away and she was living with her mother and sister with her mother’s widowed father in Williamsport.  Her family was associated with Christ Episcopal Church in Williamsport.  She became a Gospel Worker probably because of the Gospel Worker mission in that city.  She spent some time with the Gospel Workers in Cleveland, Ohio, then joined the work in Pittsburgh, Pa.  She died of lobar pneumonia on 31 January 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Her profession listed on her death certificate was missionary worker.  The informant was Miss Dora B. Rote, another Gospel Worker.  Lulu is buried with other Gospel Workers in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.
