Mary G. Hassler, GW #14, licensed 1897.
Mary was born on 25 February 1877 to Aaron and Sarah Gehman Hassler. Mary was the granddaughter of William and Anna Musselman Gehman. The Hasslers resided in Zionsville, Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pa. In 1900, Mary lived with Gospel Worker Sarah Kuntz in Muncy, Lycoming County, Pa. No occupation is listed in the census. In 1910, Mary is in Cleveland, Ohio with the Gospel Workers there. In the 1920 census Mary is listed with her sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Elmer Nuss of Allentown. Her occupation is Press feeder in the printing industry. Also in the household is Cora Stirk, another Gospel Worker, who is also a press feeder in the printing industry. In 1930, Mary and Cora still live together in Allentown, though at a different address. They continue as press feeders in the printing industry. In 1940, Mary and Cora are living in Allentown. Cora is listed as Head of house and Mary is listed as her partner. Mary continues to work as a press feeder in the printing industry. Cora is a packer for a drug manufacturer. Both of them completed nine years of school. Mary died on 16 December 1947 at home at 637 N 11th Street in Allentown. She is buried at West End Cemetery, Allentown, next to Cora Stirk.
