Ruth I. March, GW #137
Ruth was born on 21 February 1900 in Williamsport, Pa. to Frank and Myrtle (Holtzapple) March. Ruth’s father died when she was a child, then the family went to live with her mother’s parents who still had children at home themselves. Apparently, Ruth’s acquaintance with the Gospel Workers was in Williamsport. By 1920 Ruth has joined the Gospel Workers in Cleveland, Ohio. She did not stay long. In 1928 she married Charles A. Pifer of Williamsport and there they made their home. The couple had two sons. Ruth died on 17 June 1958 and is buried in Twin Hills Cemetery in Lycoming County, Pa. Ruth’s husband Charles died twenty years later. If they have tombstones to mark their grave, it is not on Find-a-Grave yet.
