FORENOON SESSION, 9 A. M.
The Eighteenth annual Ministerial Convention of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ of Pennsylvania convened in the Church, Sixth and Walnut Streets, Royersford, Pa., at 9.15a.m., October 10, 1907.
The Chairman, J. G. Shireman, opened the Convention by reading Psalms 133, 134, followed by prayer by H. B. Musselman.
The Secretary called the roll with the following result:

The proceedings of the last Annual Ministerial Convention were then read and approved.
Resolved, That the Convention bar consist of the right and left wing and the first three pews throughout the church.
Resolved, That all Annual Conference members be voting members and all workers present advisory members of this Convention.
Resolved, That no one be allowed to speak longer than ten minutes on any subject and only once except by permission of the Chair.
Resolved, That no member leave the Convention without the permission of the Chair except E. N. Cassel.
Resolved, That the Chair appoint a Timekeeper and Reporter.
He appointed Geo. A. Campbell and W. J. Fretz, respectively.
Resolved, That the Chair appoint a Committee of three as a Committee on Publication. He appointed W. G. Gehman, C. H. Brunner and H. B. Musselman.
The following Essays were then read, discussed and received:
“The Conversation of the Minister according to Eph. 5:4,” Geo. A. Clampbell.
“The Life of the Pastor in the Practice of the Doctrines of the Bible,” J. G. Shireman.
An offering was lifted to defray the expenses of the Convention, printing, etc.
Adjournment by prayer by C. H. Brunner.
AFTERNOON SESSION, 2 P. M.
The session was opened by singing and prayer by W. G. Gehman, after which the roll was called and the minutes of the forenoon session read, corrected and approved.
Resolved, That the Chair appoint a Committee of three to deal with the absent members of this Convention.
He appointed C. H. Brunner, H. B. Musselman and J. C. Roth.
An Essay on “The Proper Study for and the Education of the Minister ” was read by E. N. Cassel. The essay was discussed and received.
An offering was lifted for the labor and expense of the Secretary, amounting to $6.24. Thanks.
An Essay on “The Advisability of Employing Evangelists on Already Supplied Territory,” by R. L. Woodring. The essay was discussed and received.
Resolved, That we hold another Ministerial Convention a day prior to the next Annual Conference and at the same place.
The following officers were then elected for the next Convention: Chairman, J. C. Roth; Secretary, E. N. Cassel. Committee on Programme: Chairman, H. B. Musselman; Secretary,
J. C. Roth; E. T. Shick.
The Committee to deal with the absent members reported as follows :
WHEREAS, The brethren W. B. Musselman and Wm. Gehman are not in attendance at this Convention, and not having learned the cause of their absence, therefore,
Resolved, That we as a Convention are sorry to miss their presence and wise counsel and wish to commend them to the God of all grace who knoweth the hearts of all men; further,
Resolved, That the Convention is highly pleased to have so many of the annual Conference Delegates present and are sorry that not all manifested interest enough to be present and receive
the benefits of this Convention.

EVENING SESSION, 7 P. M.
This session was opened by a song service, followed by prayer by Wm. Gehman.
The roll was called and the minutes of the afternoon session were read and approved..
The questions in the box were answered by H. B. Musselman.
An essay on “Power needed for Service” was read by W. S. Hottel. The essay was discussed and received.
A liberal offering was lifted for the church.
The Committee on Publication reported as follows:
Resolved, That the Secretary compile a condensed report of this Convention for publication in the Gospel Banner.
