FOURTH SEMI-ANNUAL CONFERENCE
of the
Evangelical Mennonite Society
June, 1861
On the fourth session, June 4, 1861 in the same Meeting House in Milford Township, Lehigh County, Brother Eusebius Hershey was selected as a preacher with full powers of the Word. He presented a good certificate of release from the United Brethren in Christ congregation where he was the preacher. Recommendations were also received from the following congregations: Levi Lukenbach, preacher of the River Brethren congregation, Center County. Pennsylvania; D.S. Tobias, preacher of the German Reformed Church, Center County, Pennsylvania; Joseph Wilker, preacher of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Center County. Pennsylvania; J.A. DeMoyer, preacher of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Center County, Pennsylvania; Henry Althouse, preacher of the Evangelical Congregation, Center County, Pennsylvania.
It was decided that the next Conference shall take place in the Haycock Meeting House, Bucks County, on the first Tuesday in November of this year.
