Report of the Ministerial Convention Committee
The Annual Ministerial Convention was held on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4, 1994 at Pinebrook Bible Conference. The Convention was attended by 118 persons, including 49 (74%) of our active ordained ministers and probationers. Ten retired ministers were able to attend.
The theme of the program was “Foundations for Change”. The following men presented papers: Donald T. Kirkwood, “How we Changed”; Dana E. Weller, “How we are Changing”; Robert A. Sloan, Jr., “Changes of the Future”. Spirited panel discussion and group interaction followed the presentation of each paper.
Dr. Paul Bubna, President of the Alliance Seminary and Vice-President of the Christian and Missionary Alliance spoke on Tuesday evening on the subject, “Dynamics of Denominational Change”.
The Ministers’ Wives Fellowship met concurrently with the men and their program included ministry by Carol Cornish on the theme, “Ephesians as a Biblical Life Strategy”. Forty-seven ladies attended the Convention.
At the business meeting the following men were elected to the Ministerial Convention Committee for two-year terms of office; Austin G. Shelly and Gene W. Smith. Past and present Committee members include:

The 1995 Ministerial Convention is scheduled for October 17 – 18, 1995 at Pinebrook Bible Conference. The speakers will be Jack and Carole Mayhall on a theme relating to the Pastor and his wife.
The Committee requests prayer for the planning of the 1995 and 1996 conventions and urges all Pastors and their wives to attend.
Recommendation:
RESOLVED, that each church be encouraged to pay for its pastor(s) and his wife to attend the 1995 Ministerial Convention of the Bible Fellowship Church.
