We recommend the following to be adopted by the 111th Annual Conference:
WHEREAS, we strongly believe it is the Scriptural responsibility of the church to meet the needs of its pastors, (Matt. 10:10; I Cor. 9:7-15; Gal. 6:6; Phil. 4:10-19; I Tim. 5:17-18),
RESOLVED, that we encourage each church to increase its Pastor’s salary commensurate with the general economic condition in the nation and local community, with the Consumer Price Index a suggested means of measurement; and further
RESOLVED, that it is the consensus of this Committee that the minimum salary for a pastor serving a Bible Fellowship Church including benefits be $21, 630.00 for the 1994-1995 year (a 3.0% increase).
RESOLVED, that the material, “Annual Review Form and Statistical Review” (see report) be considered as FIRST READING.
RESOLVED, that the information entitled, “Duties” on page 140 in the “Faith & Order” be replaced with material entitled, “Duties” (see report) as submitted by the Ministerial Relations Committee, and that it be considered as FIRST READING.
