1995 Report of Credentials Committee

Report of the

Credentials Committee

              The Credentials Committee held two meetings during the year in the performance of its duties.

              During the year the Credentials Committee met with the Elders of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Nazareth, PA, in fulfillment of their requirement to answer their questions concerning the implementation of the new Article X of the Faith & Order and Annual Conference’s denial of their request of the 111th Annual Conference. LeRoy S. Heller and Keith E. Plows attended the NCMAF conference in Washington, D.C., in December.

              The Faith & Order questionnaire was sent to each of the ministers holding Ordination Credentials with the Bible Fellowship Church. All of the brethren returned their questionnaire except Ronald C. Hagy. The committee is following up on some reservations that were noted. Because some men had questions concerning their status with the Bible Fellowship Church, a question was added to the Annual Questionnaire that would indicate to the Credentials Committee such concerns by some of the men.

The following changes in status were approved:

              Robert F. Johnson was changed from “Ordained Ministers Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church” to “Ordained Ministers in Retirement.”

              David H. Jones was changed from “Ordained Ministers on Leave of Absence” to “Ordained Ministers Between Calls.”

              Harold C. Weaber was changed from “Ordained Ministers Between Calls” to “Ordained Ministers Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church.”

              The Committee met with one man for ordination examination. The Credentials Committee gives thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who has gifted this man to the ministry of the Bible Fellowship Church.

WHEREAS, the Ministerial Candidate Committee has recommended Daniel F. DeLozier for ordination; andWHEREAS, this brother has served acceptably as a minister of the Bible Fellowship Church for the required period of time or the equivalent thereof; and

WHEREAS, after examination, the Credentials Committee believes this man to be called of God to the gospel ministry and to be in accord with the Faith & Order of the Bible Fellowship Church; therefore be it

RESOLVED, that Daniel F. DeLozier be ordained to the gospel ministry of the Bible Fellowship Church and further;
