Report of the
Pinebrook Bible Conference
“Experience Pinebrook” is the theme of our public relations appeal to the people which we wish to attract to this ministry. The “Pinebrook Experience” is one which creates solid friendship relationships, exciting fellowship experiences, enjoyable recreational activities and life-changing encounters. These are all part of the results of the Bible-centered program of evangelism and discipleship which is in fact the “Pinebrook Experience.”
We are both grateful and also humbled at the privilege which we had as an agency of the Bible Fellowship Church to be able to minister to over 12,000 people during the year of 1995. Through the evaluation sheets which were returned from our retreat leaders, we were able to determine to some extent the spiritual impact of this ministry which resulted in salvation decisions almost every weekend and in hundreds of lives that where discipled to true service and worship to God.
We have finished the first year of our five year development program known as Pinnacle Project. Major remodeling to all Sunnybrook bathrooms, a new roof on Sunnybrook, a major remodeling of the kitchen, purchase of much new kitchen equipment and some black topping of roads are the highlights of our accomplishments. We have reached one-half of our goal of 400 Pinnacle Project supporters. We pray that many more will join us in support during 1996. Our goals for 1996 include major remodeling of all Overbrook bathrooms, new roof on Honeybrook and major rebuilding of tennis courts, volleyball courts and new fencing. This is a great financial undertaking and will demand the continued support of all our present supporters plus $10,000.00 from new supporters.
At our board meeting, September 7, 1995, we passed the following resolution:
Whereas, the Board of Pinebrook Bible Conference intends to complete incorporation, therefore,
Resolved, that the Board of Directors of the Bible Fellowship Church transfer ownership to the Board of Directors of Pinebrook Bible Conference.,
On September 30, 1995 we received the following reply from the Board of Directors of the Bible Fellowship Church:
Resolved, that in response to the communication received from the Board of Pinebrook Bible Conference dated September 8, 1995 we inform the Board of Pinebrook Bible Conference that the authority to grant approval to incorporate and hold title to assets by agencies of the Bible Fellowship Church resides with the Annual Conference.
Therefore, the Board of Directors of Pinebrook Bible Conference does hereby bring the following request to the 113th Annual Conference of the Bible Fellowship Church meeting at Pinebrook Bible Conference on Monday, April 29, 1996:
Resolved, that the Annual Conference of the Bible Fellowship Church grant permission to the Board of Pinebrook Bible Conference to incorporate as a separate body and that the Board of Directors of the Bible Fellowship Church be directed to convey title of Pinebrook Bible Conference to the Board of Directors of the Pinebrook Bible Conference.
We covet your prayers for this great ministry which God has entrusted to the Bible Fellowship Church. Many thanks to the great work which is being done by the dedicated administration and staff.
