Report of the

Ministerial Relations Committee

      The Lord has faithfully provided for the churches and pastors of His flock in the BFC during the year 2001.

      The following resignations were received according to our rules this year:

      As of the time of this writing, the Pleasant Valley, NY, Shamokin, and Lehighton churches were in need of a pastor, and the Coopersburg, PA, church continues its search for a Senior Pastor. The Pleasant Valley, NY, church is being served by a man providing pastoral ministry who is moving toward BFC credentials and the establishment of a pastorate according to our rules. Pray for the provision of pastors for these churches.

      The committee rejoices at the appointment of the first Conference Pastor at the last Annual Conference. Ronald C. Mahurin began his service on July 1, 2001. Pray for brother Mahurin as he takes up the responsibilities of this new position. The committee also reminds the churches that the Conference Pastor is paid through the BFC Administrative Budget. We appeal to the churches to help to provide for this ministry through the pledge to the Administrative Budget. The committee is working with the Board of Directors to present the budget for this ministry. Pray for God’s blessing upon and provision for this vital ministry.

      The committee makes the following recommendations to the 119th Annual Conference:

Resolved, that the recommended minimum salary for a pastor serving the BFC, including benefits, be $27,350.

Resolved, that the salary (including benefits) for the Conference Pastor be $35,330 for the year 2002. (salary $26,000, expenses $6,000, health insurance $3,330)
