Report of the Ministerial Candidate Committee
1. The Ministerial Candidate Committee met eight times since the last Annual Conference.
Eight men were interviewed: Jeffrey S. Albrecht, Jonathan D. Forsythe, Alan G. Miller, Frank E. Lenahan, Richard J. Rizzi, Sr., Eric R. North, and Jonathan H. King.
Alan G. Miller and Eric R. North were recommended for approval of their prior ordination.
Ronald L. Kohl, Philip G. Norris, Timothy J. Schmoyer and Scott B. Evans were approved as probationers eligible to receive a call.
The following were licensed: Ronald K. Kohl, Timothy J. Schmoyer, Philip C. Norris, and Mark A. Baumgardner.
The Orientation Seminar will be held on June 7-9, 2005, at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania.
Resolved: That the following paragraph be added to the Faith & Order as §502-2.2:
In some instances, the time of probation for a man who is not previously ordained may be shortened by the Ministerial Candidate Committee to one year if he has served on the staff of a Bible Fellowship Church in a full time capacity for two or more years prior to the effective date of his license. In no case will the probationary service be less than one year. The Ministerial Candidate Committee shall determine the length of the probationary service after evaluating the prior service of the probationer.
