Report of the

Ministerial Candidate Committee

            The Ministerial Candidate Committee met 12 times since the completion of its last report.

            Seventeen men were interviewed: Davis E. Duggins, Aaron J. Susek, Stephen T. Roth, J. David Miklas, Steven J. DelDuco, Carlos G. Rodriguez, Donald E. Kuntzman, Robert A. Perrone, Mark A. Baumgardner, Ferdie R. Madara, Daniel L. Williams, David E. Brandt, Robert K. Fields, Gerald D. Clark, James D. Crosley, Shad A. Gilbert, and Alphaus D. Stoltzfus.

            Robert K. Fields was recommended to be examined for recognition of prior ordination.

            Donald E. Kuntzman and Gerald D. Clark were recommended for examination for ordination.

            The following men were approved as probationers eligible to receive a call: Thomas H. Morrison, Davis E. Duggins, Mark E. Barninger, Glenn R. Felty, Frank E. Lenahan, Raymond R. Bertolet, Robert B. Kramer, Daniel L. Williams, David E. Brandt and Steven J. DelDuco.

            The following men were issued licenses: Mark E. Barninger, Davis E. Duggins, Glenn R. Felty, Thomas H. Morrison, Frank E. Lenahan, and Raymond R. Bertolet.

            The Committee made changes in its testing procedures. The Order Exam is no longer being given. The Annual Seminar now includes a session to familiarize new men with our procedures.

            We note with regret the resignation of Delbert R. Baker, II, and Brian H. Cooper’s decision not to serve another term. We have appreciated their ministry and input in this important work. Both have felt the increasing demands of their church ministry and believed it was wise to step aside at this point. We are grateful to Jonathan W. Arnold, Sr., for his willingness to fill the unexpired term of Bert Baker.
