Report of the
Board of Communications
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden
in the cool of the day, . . .
Genesis 3:8
What precedes and follows the above verse details the tragedy of the fall of man and the resulting consequence—the breaking of a most unique relationship with God, one in which humans had the opportunity to walk and talk with God.
Sounds, words, expressions, nature, and the written page are all a part of God’s continual communication with us. Fortunately, through the Holy Spirit He has given us His written Word which leads the way back to that relationship Adam and Eve forfeited.
The Board of Communication plays a role in keeping the lines of communication open within the BFC via the website and the Yahoo-Groups. Also we gladly accept the responsibility to publish booklets and other materials which aid communication.
Fellowship News, now in its forty-ninth year of operation1, continues to be a key line of communication between churches. And the Yearbook, available electronically or in hard-copy, retains the records of the Annual Conference.
The Board maintains a supply of materials needed by our churches such as booklets, attendance cards and certificates. A CD containing not only last year’s Yearbook but also the new BFC Logo—including usage instructions—is also available. During the 126th Annual Conference, please check-out the items found at our table.
We thank those who have volunteered and assisted the Board of Communications this past year: Rachel Anderson (Treasurer), Carol Snyder (Editor), Scott Ott (Webservant) and Scott and Roy Hertzog for their work with the Yahoo-group. Thanks also to those who submitted articles for Fellowship News.
We are happy that vendors are willing to come to Annual Conference. Vendors make a donation to the Yearbook and are given an ad as an expression of thanks. Sponsors for the Fellowship News would be greatly appreciated and would help underwrite the cost of the publication.
It is important that communication continue between us, therefore the following emails, addresses, and phone numbers are provided.
