2011 Report of Arrangements

Report of the

Committee on Arrangements

The Committee on Arrangements for the 128th BFC Conference met three times during the Conference year in fulfillment of its mandate. The purpose of the committee continues to be to review the mechanics and efficiency of each conference as well as assist in providing hospitality. Any suggestions on what can be done to better accomplish the above are graciously received.

The Committee worked closely with the Agenda and Program Committee under the direction of the BFC Exec.Bd in preparing a new look and agenda for this year’s Conference. The goal is to continue to do the work of the BFC while, at the same time, provide spiritually uplifting and challenging messages as well as opportunities to celebrate together and to enjoy the unity we have in Jesus Christ and as BFC leaders. The Monday evening’s starting time, focus and address by the BFC Executive Director, along with a guest speaker for the rest of the conference are examples of some of these changes. We, along with the Agenda and Program Committee, are open to fresh and new ideas that might make this conference even more riveting.

The 2010 BFC Conference was the first to be streamed-live on the internet. Plans are for this to continue with more cameras and better sound. Our desire is to make these proceedings available to our missionaries, others who are unable to attend and for our international church with the Ordination Service of its pastor. Pinebrook will make internet service available during the conference for free.

Orientation material has been placed in the beginning of the Report Book. This material should be reviewed by each member of Annual Conference.

The Overseer of the Pages and Head Page is Raymond L. Cole, Assistant Pastor at our Newark, DE, church.

The Committee has taken upon itself to remind the Moderator of BFC Conference to establish a committee to review the BPLs every seven years as was resolved by the 121st Annual Conference (Yearbook, 38). This year, 2011, would be the year for said committee to be appointed.
