Report of the
Committee to Examine BFC Conference Minutes
In pursuance of our responsibility to produce accurate minutes of BFC Conference, the committee compares the approved minutes with those published in the Yearbook and proofreads the minutes and other material in the Yearbook. If you notice mistakes in the Yearbook, please notify the chairman of this committee before March 1 so it can be corrected in the committee’s report.
The following corrections should be made to the 2011 official minutes:
p. 8 In the Woodbury Heights, NJ listing, Daniel L. Williams’ name should be indented.
p. 12 In the third line, it should read Marcos G. Ramirez Montalvo.
p. 16 Vice-moderator should be hyphenated here and each time it occurs in the minutes.
p. 18 The verbal remembrance for Harvey J. Fritz, Jr. was presented by William G. Schlonecker.
p. 20 Under insert (7), delete the period between congregational and membership.
p. 27 Under 512-8.2 (6) in the middle of the page there should be a hyphen in full-time.
p. 29 Under 511-1.7 (2), insert an end parenthesis after the 512-3
p. 31Section 509-6.1 should be changed to 509-5.2 since it is the second paragraph under Section 509-5.
p. 32In the last resolve on the page, insert a period at the end of the Christian Education Committee purpose statement.
p. 36At the end of Section 2 delete “(as referenced in 512-5.4(3) of the F & O)”since 5.1-5.6 under 512-5 Board of Higher Education was deleted in the last resolve on p. 35.
p. 37In Section 4 – Administration, “Executive” should also be inserted and crossed out at the beginning of section A just before Director/Chairperson.
p. 41The resolve in the middle of the page should be corrected since the present listing for the “Board of Church Health” is 512-16 instead of 512-13.
p. 42-43 The numbering of these seven paragraphs labeled as 512-1 through 512-7 needs to be modified since 512-1 through 512-4 have already been designated on page 29 to contain information on the four departments.
p. 42 In 512-3 correct the wording to read “advance the goals of the department.”
p. 54 The official address for the BFC should be 3000 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall, PA 18052.
The following corrections should be made to the remainder of the Yearbook:
iii In line two, BFC Conference was held in East Stroudsburg.
v The listing for Announcements in the Table of Contents should be for the 129th BFC Conference.
vii Under the Committee on Credentials for 2014 it should read Carl J. Fischer, Jr.
viii The category Officers of 129th BFC Conference should have “Annual” eliminated.
xxix The end of the second paragraph should read “from 1957 to 1966.”
p. 2 Seventh Meeting (Wednesday Evening)…46 should have been listed at the bottom of the Table of Contents on page 1.
p. 55 In the listing of reports, the page for the Beneficiary Society should be 159 and two listings were missed: Board of Pensions – p. 85 and Pinebrook Educational Foundation – p. 170.
p. 57 In the Report of the Board of Church Extension in the middle of the page, the extra spaces between growing and apathy should be deleted.
p. 63 Under Hispanic Church Planting and Daughter Church Planting, it should consistently refer to the Capital Region instead of several references to Capitol Region.
p. 70 In the second resolve, it should refer to the 129th BFC Conference and it will be held at Pinebrook Bible Conference in East Stroudsburg, PA.
p. 75 In the third resolve at the bottom of the page delete “and, and” after Emmaus, PA.
p. 76 In the last resolve capitalize “Disability” in the category title.
p. 78 Eliminate the period after Daniel in Daniel Istrate.
p. 102 Under 511-1.7 (2), insert an end parenthesis after the 512-3.
p. 107 At the end of Section 2 delete “(as referenced in 512-5.4(3) of the F & O)” since 5.1-5.6 under 512-5 Board of Higher Education was deleted in resolve #10.
p. 111 Resolve #12 should be corrected since the present listing for the “Board of Church Health” is 512-16 instead of 512-13.
p. 112 The numbering of these seven paragraphs labeled as 512-1 through 512-7 needs to be modified since 512-1 through 512-4 have already been designated on page 103 to contain information on the four departments.
p. 112 In 512-3 correct the wording to read “advance the goals of the department.”
p. 118-122 Delete these pages because they duplicate pages 114-117.
p. 123 The headings for the columns should be: 2010, 2009, and Change.
p. 123 Delete the space in the word assets in “Other As sets.”
p. 124 The headings for the columns should be: 2010, 2009, and Change.
p. 124 Under liabilities the last entry should be “Churches’ Equity.”
p. 126 The seventh entry under Liabilities and Equity should be “Churches’ Equity.”
p. 131 The heading for the page should be “Proposed 2012 Executive Board Budget”and the headings for the first two columns should be changed to “2012 Budget” and “2011 Budget.”
p. 132-133 These pages should be deleted since they duplicate pages 130-131.
p. 137 Add an apostrophe in “Knowing God’s Will Seminars.”
p. 142 Eliminate the hyphen in development under Sam and Melissa Adams’ entry.
p. 142 It should read Glenn and Leah Ruth Blauser.
p. 151 The correct spelling of the speaker for the third week of conference in the last paragraph is Stanley Toussaint.
p. 152 Eliminate the “a” in the last line so it reads “We also have several part-time workers…”
p. 154 Under BFC Young Adult Retreat there should be a parenthesis instead of a 9 in (6/10-12).
p. 155 Under Cabin Knoll in the fourth sentence it should read “This will make a significant difference…”
