EDITOR’S NOTE: The Study Committee on Abortion was formed at the 1981 Conference. The report below was accepted as the Position Paper of the BFC in 1982. The 1982 Conference instructed the committee to create an article for the Standards of Worship and Life. The article passed at First Reading in 1984 and at Second Reading in 1985.
