Report of the Ministerial Candidate Committee
The Ministerial Candidate Committee met 9 times during the year to accomplish the work entrusted to its care. Many additional hours were spent by individuals of the committee in private consultaion and counsel with men under our care.
The Committee interviewed 17 men and 22 examinations were administered and graded.
The l4th Annual Orientation Program for men under the care of the Committee was held at Pinebrook Junior College on June 7-9, 1988. Fourteen men participated in the program. The 15th Annual Orientation Program is scheduled for June 5-7, 1989. This is a change from prior years in that it is a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The Homiletics Seminar will be held on Monday morning.
William C. Aukamp, David E. Gundrum, Ronald C. Hagy, William G. Schlonecker and Byron Widger were recommended to the Credentials Committee for Ordination Examination.
Walter Johnston and Barnabas Marshall have been licensed as probationers during the year.
R. Jerome Brush, Richard T. Paashaus, Brent Robinson, Robert Sloan, Jr. and Larry M. Smith have been approved as probationers who are eligible to receive a call as a Pastor of a Bible Fellowship Church.
