REPORT OF THE BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
to the 104th Annual Conference
of the Bible Fellowship Church
The following ministries were sponsored by the Board of Christian Education:
Thanksgiving Rally in November 1986 with Mark Cable
Pastors/Elders/Deacons retreat in November 1986 at Pinebrook
Conference grounds with Dr. Lloyd Perry of Lancaster Bible College with 235 in attendance
Sno-Glo Youth Retreat-College/Career at Pinebrook Conference grounds in January 1987.
Christian Education Convention with 20 churches in attendance.
The Board of Christian Education in the February 19, 1987 meeting adopted following purpose for the Thanksgiving Rally:
The purpose of the Thanksgiving Rally is to provide a wholesome time of edification, entertainment and fellowship in a Christian context. This program shall be of such a caliber that can only be provided for collectively and probably not by the individual churches.
The Board of Christian Education sponsored the above listed programs to encourage and edify the local church. Attendance was good in some instances. Please let us know how we can make the above programs more effective.
We have added video tapes to our A-V library. The newest titles are as follows:
Holiness of God by R.C. Sproul
Basic Bible Teacher Training
Living Proof
We are seeking to expand this part of the library’s service.
We see the need for a denominational calendar. This would prevent conflicts with other conference activities.
We thank all of you at the local church level that have given and prayed for the work of the Board of Christian Education. We covet your continued prayer support and written input to the Board.
