Anna Christeen Bachman, GW #170

Anna was born on 31 January 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to immigrants from Germany and Austria Paul and Anna (Kozler) Bachman.  No doubt Anna learned of the Gospel Worker Society through their Pittsburgh mission.  Anna joined the Gospel Worker Society on 17 February 1930 at 16 years of age.  She worked in the composing room of the Union Gospel Press, making up forms and operating the linotype machine.  In 1971 she became Vice President of the Incorporated Trustees of the Gospel Worker Society.  Anna died on 14 December 1998 and is buried in the Brooklyn Heights Cemetery with the other Gospel Workers.
