Frances L. Wismer, GW#4

Frannie was born on 25 December 1868 to Abraham Wismer and his second wife, Frances Landis, of Perkiomen Township, Pa.  The Wismer family attended the Graterford church.  Frannie was licensed as an evangelist in May 1894. In 1900 she was in Williamsport PA.  In 1910, Frannie went to Norfolk, Virginia to assist in the work there, led by Mamie Caskie. The following year she also worked in Newport News, Virginia.  By 1920 Frannie rejoined the main group of Gospel Workers in Cleveland, Ohio where she served the group as their cook.  In 1930 Frannie was still in Cleveland with the main group, but this time is listed in the census as a missionary, the same as everyone else.  In 1940, Frances is 71 years old at the time of the census and is still in Cleveland, working as a missionary.  Frances died on 12 April 1954 and is buried with the Gospel Workers in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
