Ruth Joanne Ansted, GW #214

Ruth was born on 5 October 1928 in Toledo, Ohio, to Harold and Dorothy (Cluff, or Clough) Ansted.  Ruth applied for entry in the Gospel Worker Society in 1946 when still a teenager.  In the 1950 census she is listed with the Gospel Workers in Cleveland, Ohio, with her occupation reported as compositor in a printing plant.  Apparently, Ruth did not stay long with the Gospel Worker Society.  When she applied for a social security number sometime between 1955 and 1957, her address was Toledo, Ohio.  Ruth died on 7 October 2010, a resident of a nursing home.  Her occupation was listed as “health aide.”  A memorial service was held for her at Northpoint Church of the Nazarene in Toledo, Ohio.  No burial information was given.
