Report of the
Ministerial Candidate Committee
What is God doing? The Ministerial Candidate Committee has seen an explosion in the number of men applying for ministry in the Bible Fellowship Church during the last year. While we don’t know how to answer the question, we can see that God is bringing men to us for service. It has made our year a busy one and has created both an opportunity and a responsibility for the Bible Fellowship Church to incorporate these new and quality men into our ministry.
The statistics look like this: 12 meetings since the last Annual Conference; 20 men received as applicants; 21 men interviewed. These statistics are unequaled in our history.
The following men were interviewed: David T. Allen, Mark A. Baumgardner, C. Lawrence Bennett, Timothy J. Bertolet, Jason W. Blair, Scott B. Evans, James R. Goebel III, Robert A. Johnson, Keith J. Miller, Thomas H. Morrison, Eric R. North, Harry F. Paashaus, David W. Peters, David K. Schlonecker, Timothy J. Schmoyer, Benjamin G. Scott, Arthur J. Simpson Jr., John R. Stover, Michael J. Tannous, Frank Termine, and Keith A. Wentzel.
The following men were recommended to the Committee on Credentials for ordination examination: David T. Allen, C. Lawrence Bennett, Arthur J. Simpson Jr., and John R. Stover.
The following men were approved as probationers eligible to receive a call: Gerald D. Clark, Donald E. Kuntzman, Stephen C. Mann, and Eric R. North.
