Report of the Credentials Committee

The Committee on Credentials held two meetings during the year in the performance of its duties.

The Faith and Order questionnaire was sent to each of the ministers holding Ordination Credentials with the Bible Fellowship Church. All of the brethren returned their questionnaires except: Barry J. Minsky and Harold D. Yarrington. The Committee is well satisfied with the responses of those who handed in their questionnaires. The Committee will continue to communicate with those who have not returned their Questionnaire.

The following changes in status were approved:

William J. Dunn was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers in Other Christian Ministries.

Dennis J. Lawrence was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers in Other Christian Ministries.

J. Mark McCreary was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers Between Calls.

Roger L. Reitz was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers Between Calls.

Dennis W. Spinney was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers Between Calls.

Jonathan P. Tait was changed from Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church to Ordained Ministers Between Calls.

Philip E. Yerrington was changed from Ordained Ministers Under the Direction of the Board of Missions to Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church.

W. Neil Harding, Jr. was changed from Ordained Ministers Under the Direction of the Board of Missions to Ordained Ministers Between Calls.

Albert J. Dommel was changed from Ordained Ministers Between Calls to Ordained Ministers Working Under the Direction of the Bible Fellowship Church.

David H. Jones was changed from Ordained Ministers Between Calls to Ordained Ministers Working in the Chaplaincy.

John H. Herb was changed from Ordained Ministers Between Calls to Ordained Ministers in Retirement.

Donald R. Ellwanger was changed from Ordained Ministers Between Calls to Ordained Ministers on Leave of Absence.

John R. Stover was under Ordained Ministers Between Calls and his Credentials were removed October 19, 2004.

James E. Neher was under Ordained Ministers on Leave of Absence and has requested his Credentials be withdrawn.

The Committee met with two men for ordination examination. The Credentials Committee gives thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who has given these gifted men for the ministry of the Bible Fellowship Church.

Whereas, the Ministerial Candidate Committee has recommended prior ordination for Alan G. Miller and Eric R. North; and

Whereas, these brothers have served acceptably as ministers of the Bible Fellowship Church for the required period of time or the equivalent thereof; and

Whereas, after examination, the Credentials Committee believes these men to be called of God to the gospel ministry and to be in accord with the Faith & Order of the Bible Fellowship Church; therefore be it

Resolved, that the prior ordination of Alan G. Miller and Eric R. North to the gospel ministry be recognized by the Bible Fellowship Church and further;

Resolved, that the service of ordination be held Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 7:30 PM at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Harleysville, PA

Credentials Committee makes the following additional recommendation:

Resolved, that an Ordination Service be held Monday, May 22, 2006, at a place to be determined.

Resolved, that Community Bible Fellowship Church, Howell, NJ be encouraged to have a service in recognition of the prior ordination of Eric R. North and that they be encouraged to invite the Credentials Committee to send representation to be present at the service.
