Bible Fellowship Church Homes, Inc.

            Motivated by the compassion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the mission of the Bible Fellowship Church Homes, Inc. is to provide the services for older adults and infirmed which promote social, physical, psychological, emotional, intellectual and spiritual well-being. In fulfilling this mission, Fellowship Community adheres to the concept of ministry of the BFC, which recognizes and affirms the maturity, dignity and eternal destiny of each person. The Board of Directors seeks to honor this mission by maintaining a commitment to excellence, innovative program and quality service.

            Fellowship Community has completed and dedicated Kauffman and Wentz Courts this past year, which adds 34 additional independent units for a total of 117.

            Resident occupancy levels remain high with waiting lists for the Skilled Nursing and Short term Rehabilitation unit (Manor), Assisted Living Unit (Terrace), and the Independent Living Units (Courts).

            At the present time, we have 372 residents living on the campus. To assist the residents, we have 271 full-time and part-time employees and 36 contracted Sodexho Dining Service employees who strive to provide the highest level of quality care. We continue to be accredited by the Joint Commission for Health Care Organization and maintain an excellent standing with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Pennsylvania Department of Health Division of Life Safety and the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance.

            The majority of the Park Project has been completed and a dedication service was held. The residents and family members have expressed much appreciation for the beautiful surroundings and enjoyment of watching the fish in the brook and pond.

            Fellowship Community endeavors to meet the religious needs of all residents, which are addressed by the Pastoral Services Department, the Social Service Department and the Activities Department. Harvey J. Fritz, Jr., serves as Director of the Pastoral Services. Frank L. Herb, Jr., James A. Beil, Mark L. Morrison and Herb Dyke serve as part-time Chaplains. Michael Roberts was added this year as a full-time Chaplain. The Chaplains complete a spiritual assessment on each admission to the Manor and Terrace and inform the residents of the spiritual opportunities available. This includes Worship Services, Prayer Meeting, Bible Studies, Daily Devotions, Visitation, Counseling (residents and staff), Seasonal/Special Services. The Chaplains also participate in family conferences, hospital visits, attending calling hours and/or funeral services.

            The residents, their families, the staff and the Board of Directors are very grateful for all the various forms of support that have been and continue to be provided by the Bible Fellowship Churches, including prayer, volunteers, special gifts and financial support.

            In conclusion, the Board of Directors appreciates all the contributions from the churches and individuals. The church contributions are used to assist BFC members who no longer have the resources to be maintained as private pay residents. The approximate amount of benevolent care provided by BFC Homes, Inc. for the fiscal year ended 6/30/07 was $1,500,000.00. Of this amount, $326,000.00 was provided to members of the BFC.

The fiscal year of Bible Fellowship Church Homes, Inc. is from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
