This book, published by the BFC Historical Society, is a translation of the handwritten German minutes of our denomination from 1859-1895. The German word Verhandlungen means “Deliberations”, “Proceedings”, or “Negotiations”. It was the word we used when we published our minutes in various newspapers and periodicals in those years.

Also included in this book are the story of how the translation work came about, a brief history of our church from that time period and how it compares to our current church life, as well as the proceedings of the Mennonite General Conference minutes that pushed our founders to create our denomination.
